5. How We Share Information
5.1 With Merchants
When you place an order, we share necessary information (such as name, shipping address, and order details) with the merchant to enable fulfillment and customer service.
Merchants are independent businesses responsible for their own lawful processing. Our merchant policies restrict information received through avnu to fulfillment, customer service, returns, recalls, fraud prevention, and legal compliance. An order does not itself authorize unrelated marketing or advertising-data sharing. Contact us about a merchant privacy concern so we can help route the request and investigate compliance with our policies. Nothing here excludes avnu’s own legal responsibilities.
5.2 With Service Providers
We share information with third-party service providers that assist with:
- Payment processing
- Identity verification and authentication
- Email and communications
- Shipping and logistics
- Shipping integration services
- Cloud hosting and infrastructure
- Search and indexing technology
- Analytics
- Advertising and marketing
- Customer support
Service providers processing information on our behalf are subject to applicable contractual and legal restrictions. Some payment, advertising, and platform partners also process information for their own disclosed purposes and are not acting solely as our service providers. Those practices are governed by their notices and your applicable rights.
Relationship with Shopify: Our Shopify storefront is hosted by Shopify, which processes information to provide and improve its services. Where enhanced Shopify features are enabled, Shopify may also use information about interactions across merchants and act independently for those purposes. See Shopify’s Consumer Privacy Policy and Privacy Portal for its practices and rights tools. Third-party websites linked from the Platform have their own privacy notices. Information you publish in reviews may be visible to others.
5.3 Advertising & “Sharing” Under State Law
We may share certain identifiers and interaction data with advertising partners to deliver relevant advertising and measure performance.
Identifiers, device and internet-activity information, and related commercial or interaction information disclosed to advertising partners may constitute a “sale” or “sharing” under state privacy laws even if no money changes hands. The applicable opt-out rights extend to these disclosures and targeted advertising.
You may request to opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising, where applicable, by contacting us at:
We honor legally recognized opt-out preference signals, including Global Privacy Control, where required by applicable law. Opt-out choices may apply to the browser or device and, where required and reasonably identifiable, the associated account. We do not require identity verification for an opt-out request beyond information necessary to apply it.
5.4 Legal Compliance & Protection
We may disclose information to:
- Comply with legal obligations
- Respond to lawful requests
- Enforce agreements
- Protect the safety and rights of users or others
5.5 Business Transfers
If avnu undergoes a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
6. Data Retention
We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for:
- Fulfilling transactions
- Maintaining accounts
- Fraud prevention
- Tax and accounting compliance
- Legal obligations
- Resolving disputes
- Enforcing agreements
Retention periods may vary based on data type, regulatory requirements, and operational needs.

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including:
- Encryption of data in transit
- Access controls limiting employee access
- Vendor security assessments
- Monitoring for unauthorized activity
- Secure hosting environments
No system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
In the event of a data breach involving personal information, we will provide notice as required by applicable law.

Where applicable, you may use an authorized agent, request a portable copy, limit certain uses of sensitive information, and appeal a denied request by contacting info@shopavnu.com with the subject “Privacy appeal.” We will respond within applicable legal deadlines and explain any permitted extension or denial. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.

If you are a California resident, you may have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and related laws, including the right to:
- Know categories of personal information collected
- Request deletion of personal information
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information
avnu does not sell personal information for monetary compensation. Non-monetary disclosures may nevertheless constitute a sale or sharing as described in Section 5.3. California rights apply when the relevant law covers the processing; no statement here waives those rights.

10. Children’s Privacy
The Platform is not directed to children under 13, and purchases are restricted to adults under the User Terms. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information, contact info@shopavnu.com so we can investigate and delete it where required. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of people under 16 without legally required authorization.
11. International Users
The Platform is intended for use in the United States. Our providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where international-transfer protections are legally required, we use the applicable safeguards. Availability of a website outside the United States does not mean we ship to that location.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy and identify the revised version. We will provide additional notice and obtain consent for changes where required by applicable law. A revised notice does not retroactively authorize incompatible uses that require consent.
